Absentee Voting Process
To receive an absentee ballot, you need to submit an absentee ballot application to the Garland County Clerk. You may download an absentee ballot application (click here), and mail or deliver in person. Garland County Clerk (501) 622-3616
Step 1: Download or request an application for an absentee ballot. (download)
Step 2: Submit an application, in-person or by mail, for an absentee ballot to the county clerk before October 27, 2020. If someone else obtains or delivers your ballot, they must be included on the application.
Step 3: Clerk will provide a paper absentee ballot, voter statement and return envelopes, after September 18, 2020.
Step 4: Mark your ballot and place in the envelope marked “Ballot Only”.
Step 5: Complete and sign the voter statement, and insert in the return envelope along with a copy of your approved photo ID, and the “Ballot Only” envelope. (click here for a list of approved photo IDs)
Step 6: Deliver completed packet to County Clerk’s office before close of business on day before Election, November 2, 2020. Drop box is available inside the door of the County Clerk’s office.
OR
Step 6: Mail completed packet to County Clerk’s office before close of business on Election Day November 3, 2020. Mailed ballots must be received by Election Day, postage required.
Overseas and military voters, please contact the county clerk for instructions.
Early Voting begins on October 19, 2020 at multiple locations for voters who wish to vote in person.
Election Day in person voting will occur at multiple locations.

- You will be unavoidably absent from a polling site on Election Day
- COVID-19 pandemic is a valid reason to request an absentee ballot.
